DCS Peter Stelfox

Detective Chief Superintendent Peter Stelfox is head of Crime Investigations at Greater Manchester Police. He has 27 years policing experience. He has been involved in investigating over 100 murders and in the last 2 years has been involved in reviewing and revisiting previously unsolved cases.

Peter has a particular interest in how homicides are investigated and has developed a Murder Investigation Data Analysis System (MIDAS) using information collected on murders within Greater Manchester in 1998/9. He is currently writing up his work on MIDAS for a PhD.
